Hello! I’m Abbey Sy, or you can call me ABC, born and raised in Manila, Philippines, currently living in Berlin, Germany.

You might know me from my books that have ABCs on the title: The ABCs of Hand Lettering, The ABCs of Journaling, and Always Be Creating: A Field Guide to Living a Creative Life.

I’ve also written books that don’t necessarily have ABCs on them, and have been translated into different languages: Hand Lettering A to Z, Hand Lettering A to Z Workbook, The Complete Photo Guide to Hand Lettering and Calligraphy, and The Art of the Travel Journal.

Over the years, I’ve pursued different creative passions of mine—from writing and illustrating bestselling books, designing and working for brands, running an online stationery shop, giving talks and hosting workshops on hand lettering and creativity, to building a community of artists and makers.

These days, I’m opening up more opportunities to teach in Berlin, working on design projects with brands, and creating content for Patreon & my YouTube channel.

With my Always be Creating mantra, I hope to inspire others to unlock their creative potential and move forward with their creative journey.
